Prepare to be enchanted driving through the magical Virginia Countryside. You will take in the rolling hills, hand built stone walls and lush green horse pastures on your journey to Boxwood Estate Winery. Boxwood is owned by John Kent Cooke, son of the late Jack Kent Cook, former owner of the Redskins. Here you will be tempted with old world Bordeaux style red wines as you tour the contrasting state of the art facility.
Leaving the ultra-modern Boxwood winery you will take a journey deeper into the Hunt Country to experience some of the most unique and fascinating horse related events in the United States. There are a few potential events to choose from, and each event is limited to once a year and is included in your ticket price.

Wrapping up your hunt country adventure, you will be taken a short distance to Greenhill Winery. Here, you will enjoy tasting their premium selection of red & white wines including their refreshing sparkling wine, a rare treat in Virginia. Experience the wines created by Sebastien Marquet who hails from Burgundy while enjoying your tasting in the exclusive member’s only pre-revolutionary war stone house. As your senses are delighted and tempted you can take in the countryside and enjoy your newly purchased bottle of wine over some gourmet charcuterie.

Your day peaks high on the hill at Barrel Oak Winery (aka BOW), the canine friendly winery where guests quickly become great friends. Your private tour includes a tasting of BOW’s premium wines, expertly choreographed with a guided tour of the winery operations while indulging in delicious cheese and Italian meats with your new friends.

The Winery at La Grange takes you on a 200 year old journey in history including wine, ghosts and intrigue. Your seated barrel room tasting will impress the visual senses as well as your taste buds. Enjoy feasting on premium appetizer while the winemaker takes you through your tasting and the intriguing history of La Grange.
Continuing your journey and the intrigue, your next experience will provide an unforgettable example of wine making art. Marterella Winery is a boutique producer of high quality, award winning premium Virginia wines. You will enjoy a private tasting with the owner, paired with delicious fondues and accompaniments*. After your lunch and tasting, enjoy the Italian style terrazzo overlooking this beautiful vineyard with one of your recently purchased bottles of Virginia’s finest wines.
The Crescendo of your day will be enjoying the passion of wine making that is put into every bottle at Pearmund Cellars. Chris Pearmund, the owner and winemaker, has been voted Virginia’s best winemaker while being involved in the startup of over 15 wineries. You will receive a special tour of the winery based on the season and stage of the wine making process by Chris or one of his knowledgeable associates while enjoying his award winning wines. You may even be the lucky winner of a delicious autographed gift from this highly esteemed winemaker.

Your day starts by commemorating the brave soldiers who fought for this great nation on the Manassas /Bull Run Battlefield*. Your guide, dressed as a Civil War General, will take you to the front lines of the Battle of First Manassas, bringing the action to life before your eyes. Each experience includes a Living History demonstration of live artillery and a 3 day pass to return to the battlefield.
Following the battlefield tour you will retreat to the comfort of the Winery at Bull Run to drink up the award winning wines. Your private tasting will take you through a flight of refreshing and delightful wines. After your tasting, explore the historical property and view Civil War relics dug up from the vineyards hallowed grounds. Purchase a bottle of wine and enjoy sipping wine while overlooking the Manassas Battlefield with your gourmet lunch.
Your next orders send you marching west. You will get to relax and explore the territory frequently raided by Civil War Colonel, John S. Mosby and his Rangers, better known as the Gray Ghost. The next winery shares his moniker. Gray Ghost Winery is Virginia’s most awarded winery, boosting over 100 awards every year. Gray Ghost Winery provides historical intrigue all Civil War buffs will want to experience. The owner, a direct descendant of one of Mosby’s Rangers, will provide an exclusive tour of seldom seen Civil War artifacts as you taste their award winning wines.
